Dr. Dave Derozotes, LCSW, PhD

Bio
Dr. Dave Derezotes is Professor Emeritus of Social Work and retired Director of the Peace and Conflict Studies Program in the College of Humanities at the University of Utah. He has received many awards in teaching, service, and scholarship and has published eight textbooks and offered many articles and presentations in such topics as community mental health, dialogue, and global wellbeing. He is a popular facilitator and educator who uses a blend of dialogue and didactic presentation in his programs. Dr. Dave currently provides consultation, teaching, and counseling in his private practice, including trainings for local and regional organizations. He facilitates dialogues at the Millcreek Senior Center and Library, teaches in the University Osher program, facilitates LCSW consultation groups, and contributes articles to the Salt Lake City Weekly. Dr. Dave also loves bicycle commuting, playing music, and desert adventures in Southern Utah. We’re very excited to have him as our first Half-Day presenter of this year.
This half day event will have both in-person and virtual participation available. The virtual component will be conducted using the ZOOM online platform.
