Objectives:
1. Participants will receive a better understanding of potential ethical decisions that may need to be made in Mental Health Practice.2. Participants will learn strategies that can assist them in making ethical decisions as Mental Health Clinicians.
3. Participants will gain confidence in their skills to appropriately address ethical concerns and decisions that they encounter.
BIO:
Ken Roach, CMHC
Ken was recently named the program chair at the University of Phoenix CMHC training program. For the past six years, he served as the clinic director for the CMHC training program Counseling Skills Center. Ken has been a licensed counselor for more than 20 years, and maintains private practices in Millcreek and Pleasant Grove.
Ken worked as a hospital response victim advocate for the Rape Recovery Center for 10 years, and occasionally testifies as an expert witness in sexual violence cases. He has served on the Utah CMHC licensing board for 5 years, the LGBTQ-Affirmative Therapist Guild of Utah board for 8 years, and the AMHCA Ethics Committee for 2 years.
