Happy New Year!  I hope that this email finds you healthy and happy!  We had our first UTAHSWA Board Meeting today and I am very excited about our wonderful 2023 UTAHSWA Board.   As you know we have recently become more involved on the Macro Level of Social Work in the last few months.  As part of that we have been invited to provide more feedback.  The Office of Professional Licensure Review (OPLR) is going to be conducting a review of mental/behavioral health occupations over the course of 2023 for DOPL.  We’re excited to be involved in this process and we hope to have valuable feedback from the membership as well.  We are humbled at the opportunity to participate in this review.

A few items that you can add to your calendar for the year.  More information will be coming on each of these when the event gets closer.

• Lunch and Learns will be held on the 3^rd Wednesdays of the month at noon.  We are planning to keep these virtual as we have been able to reach more of our membership that way.
• April 7 will be our first half day conference in SLC.  It will be in the morning and more info will be coming on that as it gets closer.
• Our annual conference will be on August 17 this year at the same venue as last year, The Cultural Celebration Center in West Valley.
