The Utah Social Work Association is holding our second Half-Day Intensive of 2023. We’re excited to welcome Dr. Christy Kane to provide a high quality educational opportunity.  We will have in-person options as well as a virtual attendance option. See details below.

 


Objectives

  1. Gain a basic understanding and knowledge of trauma, what it is, how it manifests in the workplace, and how to address it.

  2. Receive practical exercises to implement personally and professionally to decrease burnout, stress, and loneliness. 

  3. Enjoy supportive resources to empower you as a professional to confidently talk about mental health in the workplace and to expand resources and offerings.

Speaker

 

Dr. Christy Kane, CMHC, PsyD

As a culture change enthusiast with hundreds of presentations under her belt, Dr. Christy Kane transforms audiences when she speaks. Her message is based on the belief that embracing mental health as a positive is essential to thriving. All of Dr. Kane’s work has one goal: to help people care for their brains and live better lives. By incorporating brain-based research, storytelling, and a thought-provoking delivery, she makes difficult topics engaging and memorable. Dr. Kane has a Doctorate in Psychology and a clinical license (CMHC) in addition to being a successful business owner and leader. Dr. Kane has provided mental health corporate consulting and professional development training for school districts in multiple states.

 

Dr. Kane has authored and published 3 books:

Fractured Souls Splintered Memories: Unlocking the Boxes of Trauma

Shell-cracking: Leaving the Past Behind

Continuing Education Credit

For those that have registered in-person and virtually, this event will offer 4.0 hours of CE credit. This presentation schedule has been approved for CEU credit by the Utah Social Work Association Executive Board.

Space is limited and there are 50 in-person seats available.  Virtual registration is also available and there will be well enough space virtually if in-person reaches capacity.  The Price is fixed at $40 for both in-person and virtual attendance.  See below for options on how to register.  As always, for active UTAHSWA members this event is free.  Please register for the appropriate option preferred through Eventbrite, see link below.
